Gainesville woman named to Georgia Council for the Arts

GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville woman has been named to the Georgia Council for the Arts.

Sandra Bailey is a retired president and publisher of the Times, who spent her entire career in the newspaper business. Bailey has served on the board of directors of the Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville and the Georgia Citizens Council for the Arts.

Bailey will be the 10th Congressional District Representative.

The appointment was made by Gov. Perdue.
