ATLANTA - The 10th Congressional District, represented by Nathan Deal of Gainesville, would pick up three new counties and the rest of Forsyth under a redistricting plan now before the Georgia General Assembly.

Hall County would remain a part of the 10th district and White, Lumpkin and Union - now a part of the 9th district - would be added. That would bring the number of counties in the 10th to fifteen.

The northern part of Forsyth has been a part of the district and, under the proposal, the southern part of the county would be moved from the 7th District to the 10th, meaning all of Forsyth would again be in one congressional district.
