Snow showers, gusty winds as March roars in across N. Georgia

UNDATED - March roared in like a lion across north Georgia where gusty winds and some snow showers were reported Tuesday morning.

No significant accumulation was expected but there were some snow showers in the Gaineville area and they were reported as far south as Atlanta.

A light accumulation was reported in the northern Atlanta suburbs - in the Roswell, Alpharetta and Marietta areas.

Meanwhile winds at times are gusting to around 20 miles an hour and expected to continue rather strong all day.

A Lake Wind Advsiory is in effect for most of north Georgia for Tuesday.
