Queen City Parkway Bridge reopens

GAINESVILLE - Ten months and nearly $3 million later, all four lanes of the Queen City Parkway Bridge in Gainesville are now open.

Georgia Department of Transportation District Engineer Russell McMurry says work on the span is "essentially complete."

The driving surface, hand rails and beam system of the bridge were completely rebuilt.

During the project, motorists could use only two lanes at a time while crews worked on the others.
