Reece running for Senate

GAINESVILLE - State Representative Stacey Reece of Gainesville plans to run for the State Senate Senate being vacated by Casey Cagle next year.

Reece says Hall and Jackson counties, which make up the 49th Senate District, need "an effective, conservative state senator who can hit the ground running" and that's why he's offering for the post.

Cagle is giving it up to run for Lt. Governor next year.

Reece was elected to the State House in 2002.
