GAINESVILLE - Sparklers and other low-grade fireworks are legal in Georgia for the first time in many years - and with July 4 just around the corner, Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle is expressing new concern for the safety of youngsters playing with them.

A few weeks ago, Governor Perdue signed a bill making sparklers and other non-aerial fireworks legal in the state.

Cagle says the key to safety for youngsters using fireworks is adult supervision.

Cagle says he knows of three stores in Hall County, so far, that will be selling fireworks.
