UNDATED - Voters in Habersham and Lumpkin counties go to the polls today to decide the fate of Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax levies for education.

In Habersham, the issue is whether to renew the SPLOST which expires at the end of 2007. With the renewal of the special tax, the school board proposes to, among other things, build a second high school.

In Lumpkin County, the question is whether to extend the SPLOST for up to five years. The revenue would be used for equipment, renovations and additions, and other school-related needs.
