Motorist thrown from car, escapes serious injury

FLOWERY BRANCH - A Flowery Branch man escaped serious injury after being thrown from his car during a weekend wreck.

The wreck happened Saturday afternoon on Spout Springs Road.

The state patrol says Douglas Cunninghman's car ran off the road near Hog Mountain Road and overturned throwing Cunningham from the vehicle.

A spokeswoman for the Northeast Georgia Medical Center says Cunningham was treated and released.
