Two Gainesville Christmas traditions continue

GAINESVILLE - The holiday season is in full swing and two more Gainesville traditons are coming up this weekend.

Christmas on Green Street is back for a sixth year and once again will feature the lighting of the Rotary Tree, carolers, carriage rides and more along the historic boulevard. It begins at 5:00 Sunday and is scheduled to last until 7:30.

A couple of hours later and a few blocks to the north, First United Methodist Church will present the 10th Annual Christmas Is One Language program. Sponsored by the Gainesville Multicultural Committee, its designed to showcase the cultural divesity of the community community through Christmas music.
