New Director of Women's Imaging named at NEGMC

GAINESVILLE - Northeast Georgia Medical Center has a new Director of Women's Imaging.

Dr. Julie Presley will oversee all of the hospital's women's imaging services such as mammography, bone density screening and ultrasound.

Dr. Presley is a board certified radiologist, with a special interest in mammography and women's imaging, and is with Gainesville Radiology Group (GRG);.

She joined GRG in December 2002. A native of Gainesville, Dr. Presley received her bachelor's degree in Biology from North Georgia College in 1992 and her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1996. In addition to mammography, she has a special interest in CT and MRI.

"As a woman, I have a particular interest in the specific imaging procedures involved in diagnosis and testing for women," says Dr. Presley. "Many of these tests represent lifesaving technology, which I find especially rewarding. I am excited about this special focus on Women's Imaging at Northeast Georgia Medical Center."

A member of many professional radiology societies, Dr. Presley resides in Gainesville with her husband, also a Gainesville native, and their son and daughter.
