First lane closures planned for I-85/Ga. 316 construction.

GAINESVILLE - Georgia DOT District Engineer, Russell McMurry announces the first lane closures on the project to reconstruct the I-85 and State Route 316 interchange and extend the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane system in Gwinnett County will occur Tuesday, February 21, 2006.

"We need to move some barrier wall into place so we can start work on the center support column of the Old Norcross Road Bridge over the Interstate. Work will take 2 days to complete," explained McMurry.
