Pay raise in the works for Habersham County Commission

CLARKESVILLE - A pay raise of more than three thousand dollars is proposed for members of the Habersham County Commission.

The proposal calls for an increase of $3,600.

That would bring the salary of each member of the Habersham Commission to $9,600.

The new pay scale would be effective next January.

The commisssion will hold a public hearing on the proposal Monday night at the courthouse in Clarkesville during a regular commission meeting which begins at 6:00 p.m.
