GAINESVILLE - Gainesville High School seniors Tuesday learned what not to do on prom night during an on-campus alcohol awareness program.

The seniors saw police officers give sobriety tests and watched firefighters tear a wrecked car apart.

17-year old Kita Wallace said she would not want to be in that car. "Makes you think that I don't want to be in that situtation because it really just scares you."

GHS math teacher Melissa Hill, who is prom coordinator, said she does not want any student to become a statistic on prom night.

"Personally, they (the emergency personnel) are reminding them what can happen to them if they are not safe on prom night."
