ATLANTA - State Representative Tommy Benton, a member of the Hall County delegation, has picked up Democratic opposition as an extra week of qualifying for his post continues.

Tommy Stephenson has qualified for the race. Stephenson is a veteran of political campaigns. He's a former Commerce mayor, State House member, and Jackson County commissioner.

With Stephenson's entry into the race, Republican James Mills is the only member of the Hall County delegation still without any opposition this year.

Qualifying for both Mills' and Benton's posts continues through Friday.
