"The Chamber and the school system have a long and mutually beneficial partnership," said Pam Sessions, chairwoman of the chamber board. "A strong public school system is an important tool for us in our economic development efforts and we believe in the need to keep our students on the cutting edge so they are prepared as the workforce of tomorrow. "
Sessions added, "The unanimous vote...shows the Chamber's continuing commitment to supporting the Forsyth County School system in these efforts."
The referendum will be on the Nov. 7 general election ballot.
