UNDATED - Tuesday is one of the days set aside each year for special elections in Georgia - and voters will be going to the polls in at least two places in our area.

In Jackson County, the question will be whether to extend a sales tax. It's the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for education for the Jackson County, Commerce and Jefferson school systems.

Next door, in Barrow County, people in Winder will be deciding whether they want to legalize the Sunday sale of liquor by the drink in the city.
