This is the permit based on the parameters negotiated by the Lake Lanier Association after it won a suit against EPD and Gwinnett County.
Val Perry of the Lake Lanier Association wants the Gwinnett agreement to be the standard for any discharge cases in the future, "Any discharge that goes into that lake needs to be at least as clean and as deep and as cold as the Gwinnett plan."
Perry adds that shouldn't be hard to do because Gwinnett County's technology is 10 to 20 years old.
The new agreement is set to go into effect in 2009.
The hearing is at 7:00 Thursday at the Gwinnett County Justice and Administrative Center.
