UNDATED - This is the time of the year local governments begin to reorganize for the new year - and the Habersham County Commission is no exception.

They'll take care of such housekeeping items right off the bat in a meeting Tuesday night. In addition, they'll consider a request for a 51-lot subdivision on J. Warren Road.

The Gainesville City Council also meets Tuesday night as does the Buford City Commission.

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners' first meeting of the new year is Thursday afternoon.

The Hall County Board of Education holds its first meeting of 2007 Friday at 5:00 (a work session) and then conducts its annual retreat Friday night from 6:00-9:00 and Saturday morning, 8:30-12:00. All three sessions are planned at school board offices on Green Street.
