GAINESVILLE - Grants have been awarded to five groups by Keep Hall Beautiful for tree replacement throughout the county.

The recipients are the Gillsville City Park Tree Program,
Gainesville Care Center, the City of Oakwood for Mundy Mill Corridor Beautification, Martin Elementary School, and the county school board.

Keep Hall Beautiful Executive Director Marsha Fletcher says the program, in its first year, was funded by money raised at the group's annual fundraiser, the Spring Chicken Festival.
