Effective Feb. 15, a recorded plat of the property complete with a drawing of the structure will be required as will a complete set of drawings with doors and windows listed. Also, a preliminary septic tank permit will be required, which Building Director Tom Braswell says is more of a "procedural change" than anything else "to head off a few old problems and keep new problems from cropping up."
The other changes, Braswell said Wednesday, have to do with providing information "up front" that deal with safety concerns, "particularly the placement of smoke detectors (and) guardrails, life safety features like that."
