UNDATED - Record high temperatures were recorded in parts of northeast Georgia Sunday, including Gainesville.

The high in Gainesville was 87 - two degrees better than the old record of 85 that was set in 1945.

Other places in northeast Georgia posting record highs Sunday included Clayton 84 (the old record was 80); Buford, 88 (81); and Cleveland, where the high reach 87 (the old record was 85). It was 88 in Cumming where the old record was 81; 85 in Jefferson (81); and, 86 in Blairsville (78).

Don't expect a record Monday, though. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 70s. However, that's still about ten degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.
