Hall County Department of Public Works and Utilities the state Department of Transportation will hold a Location and Design Public Information Open House on the project May 1 at Chestatee High School.

The proposal calls for a new four-lane road from the intersection of SR 60/Thompson Bridge Road and SR 283/Mt. Vernon Road to the intersection of Sardis Road and Chestatee Road.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the proposed project, ask questions, and comment on the proposal, according to Harvey D. Keepler, State Environmental/Location Engineer for DOT.

It will be held for three hours, starting at 4:00. It's another of those informal, drop-in type sessions, with no formal presentation.
