Gwinnett Police spokesman Darren Moloney says Terry E. Moseley, 52, was thrown from his van when it left I-985, plunged down an embankment and hit some trees.
Moseley was the only person in the vehicle and was not wearing his seatbelt, according to Moloney.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
