The accident happened about 2:45, according to the state patrol, when a car pulled from Old Highway 141 near the Hall-Forsyth county line and into the path of a pickup.
Four people in the car were injured, one of them the driver, who fled the scene on foot only to show up at Northeast Georgia Medical Center a short time later seeking treatment for his injuries. One of those in the car was taken by helicopter ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and was in stable condition early Wednesday.
The driver of the pickup was not injured.
