Early voting starts Monday

UNDATED - Early voting begins Monday for voters in Oakwood and Flowery Branch where special referendums are scheduled later this month.

Both towns will be holding referendums on Tax Allocation Districts or TADs.

The polls will be open September 18, but early voting will take place at each city hall this week... Monday through Friday.

Typically, a TAD allows a local government to use additional tax monies earned from redeveloped properties to further enhance an area.

A TAD referendum in Braselton will be held in November, instead of September 18 as earlier reported.
