The Owls (3-13) went on a 12-0 run in the first half, claiming a 26-16 lead that was capped by Kelvin McConnell's jumper. Stegall later made a jumper then added a free throw just before the end of the period, as Kennesaw State went into halftime with a 39-27 lead.
Stegall's two free throws pushed the Owls lead to 73-49 with 5:33 left in the second half. North Florida (1-15, 0-4) never got within 20 points, as Kennesaw State pulled away for the win.
Tanner Jacobs scored 14 points and had eight rebounds, while Ryan Daugherty added 11. Stegall also grabbed nine rebounds.
Stan Januska led North Florida with 16 points, while James Grimball added 13.
