The Center of Distinction is awarded to child care centers that "provide quality child care" for children 0-4 years old.
"We congratulate Ms. Havilyn H. Towns and the staff at Kids Quest Child Development Center for earning Center of Distinction," said Dixie Kinard, Bright from the Starts' board member representing the ninth congressional district. "The certificate means that the center provides children with exemplary nurturing and educational activities that stimulate healthy development and learning. I congratulate Kids Quest Child Development Center for earning this important designation. State and national awards like Center of Distinction can help parents evaluate their choices for child care. I hope other child care providers in our area will consider working toward becoming a Center of Distinction."
Kids Quest Child Development Center is the first childcare provider in Hall County and the first private childcare provider in the Northeast Georgia district to receive this prestigious award.
Bright from the Start is the department of state government dedicated to child care and early education for children from birth through four years of age. The department administers Georgia's Pre-K Program, licenses child care centers, registers home-based child care providers, administers federal nutrition programs, administers the Standards of Care program, houses the Head Start Collaboration Office, distributes federal funding to enhance the quality and availability of child care, and works collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to enhance early care and education.
