Gainesville BOE hears costs are reduced

GAINESVILLE - That end of the year deficit stared the Gainesville school board in the face again Monday night as board members heard and accepted the report from Financial Director Janet Allison.

Interim Superintendent Dr. Merrianne Dyer said cost-cutting procedures are in place and working, and that's a good thing with the system finishing the year $5.8 million in the red.
