GAINESVILLE - Next summer Gainesville boys and girls will have a new Boys and Girls Club to attend.

The groundbreaking for that new facility was held Thursday morning next to Lyman Hall Elementary School. Past Board president Abb Hayes said the need to expand and build a new club was recognized five years ago.

The club will serve more than 300 children daily between the ages of 6 and 18 in the Memorial Park area.
