Just after 2 p.m., a deputy spotted a stolen vehicle abandoned on Cagle Mill Road. A canine unit was brought in to track the suspect, but the search was called off after about two hours.
Hall County Sheriff's Col. Jeff Strickland said, "We do not believe the suspect to be armed and dangerous. We think he was just fleeing from the police to elude capture."
Strickland said that in addition to the stolen vehicle charge, the suspect is wanted on domestic charges. He did not release the suspect's identity.
