Turnovers costly to Eagles in loss to Pepperell

LINDLEY - Pepperell took advantage of five Riverside Military Academy turnovers to blow open a close game at halftime in a 38-10 win Friday night in the first round of Class AA state football playoffs.
The Dragons led just 6-3 at halftime when Riverside's Ahmad Chehab booted a 48-yard field goal with less than a minute left in the first half.
But things fell apart for the Eagles threw four interceptions in the third and early fourth quarters that led to 28 Pepperell points.
Riverside (7-4) was making its first-ever GHSA playoff appearance. The Eagles won the 2005 GISA state title.he second half.
