GAINESVILLE - In Gainesville Sunday Memorial Park Funeral Homes held the official opening and dedication of its new Riverside Chapel.

The program was highlighted with appearances and comments from state and local officials including Congressman Nathan Deal, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, State Representative Carl Rogers, Gainesville Mayor Myrtle Figueras and Hall County Commission Chairman Tom Oliver.

Memorial Park owner Jack Frost said Riverside was largest funeral home in Northeast Georgia with over 14,000 sq feet, four staterooms, two arrangement rooms, and a chapel with seating for over 300 people.

Frost added the chapel was state of the art, with its Yamaha baby grand piano, concert quality acoustics, a three camera recording system, and plasma televisions for memorial viewing.

The chapel location, once a grocery store, then a church, was completely renovated and also includes warming kitchen with two microwaves, dishwasher, ice maker and an over sized refrigerator with a serving room than accommodate over 80 people.

Frost said his new chapel was designed for high value at moderate cost, representing a new dimension in funeral services without a cost increase to consumers.

He added another important reason for the new chapel in North Gainesville was its easy accessibility from Highway 60 and Highway 129.
