After a scoreless first half Apalachee (5-3) got two goals from Holly Dyer and one from Amber Burgess to take what looked to be an unsurmountable 3-0 lead late in the game.
But Chestatee (3-3) stormed back in the final four minutes to tie the game in regulation and send it to overtime. Kelsey Neukum scored one goal and Megan Fligg had two goals for Chestatee, the second coming on a penalty kick.
In the penalty kick phase, Dyer and Burgess scored their shots and goalkeeper Hannah Holmes, who had left the game late in the 2nd period due to an injury, came back and stopped four of Chestatee's kickers after Morgan Dooley had scored for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee outshot Apalachee 12-8 for the game.
