Tennis: Gainesville boys hand North Hall first region loss (4/1)

UNDATED - Gainesville did not drop a set beating North Hall 5-0 Tuesday in Region 7-AAA boys tennis action.

It was the first region loss for the Trojans.

James Wassell beat Eli LoCicero 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 1 singles; Andreo Belch beat Clayton Nedza 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2; and Ryan Joiner beat Mitch MecCray 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

At No. 1 doubles, Luis Hokayem and G Williams beat Jim Butts and Joe Nedza 7-5, 6-3 while the team of Robbie Billbrough and P Clements beat Jack Hortenstine and Scott Swanson 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 to finish off the sweep.

North Hall fell to 9-5 overall, 9-1 in the region and will play host to Johnson Wednesday.
