Antiques for sale at the Northeast Georgia History Center

GAINESVILLE - You could see, touch and buy your personal piece of history Saturday in Gainesville at the third annual Antique Show and Estate Sale at the Northeast Georgia History Center.

Collectibles of all kinds tempted the buyers at the center, according to show chairwoman Anne Chenault.

"We've had so many beautiful items. Our dealers from across the state have gorgeous antiques," Chenault said.

The show also featured several donated items from Gainesville homes.

Certified appraiser Richard Williams, from Gainesville, was on hand to provide values on family heirlooms.

"We like to find the treasures for the people," Williams said. "We're not interested in the pieces and our values are based on knowledge and experience."
