Late night Hall fire does heavy damage

GAINESVILLE - It was a busy late night call for Hall County firefighters off Dawsonville Highway Monday, where the roof caved in at a house in the Lake Ridge Subdivision.

Several fire companies responded to the blaze at 3132 Lake Ridge Drive, where flames heavily damaged the wood frame home.

At the scene fire apparently ravaged the house, causing the carport roof to cave in over two parked cars.

The fire was reported shortly after 11 p.m.; Hall fire service investigators are trying to determine the cause.
