County Commissioner Bobby Banks made the motion Thursday night to include $1.2 million in funding for the project from SPLOST funds.
"We're taking the baseball fields, softball fields, and soccer fields and putting them at the new high school on Spout Springs Road," Banks said.
School Board chairman Richard Higgins said this is the fourth recreation park jointly developed by the school board and the county.
