Patton died Monday at the age of 84. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakewood Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.
Patton was the founder - in the 1950s - of what is now Patton-Boyer Inc., a land surveyors and engineers office in Gainesville. He owned and operated Patton and Patton Survey Company and served as the Hall County surveyor for 40 years.
