Walker comes to Hall County with a long history of parks and recreation experience in Georgia.
During his career, he has served nearly 20 years as Director of Parks & Recreation for three Georgia Counties: Wayne (Jesup), Ware (Waycross) and since 2004, Pickens (Jasper).
In June 1986, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from California State University and is certified as a Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP).
Immediately following completion of his undergraduate degree, Walker started his career in recreation working in the Intramural Recreation Department at California State University. He also worked as assistant coach for the Women's Fast Pitch Softball league at the university.
