ATLANTA - Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Tommy Irvin is alerting Georgia residents to the recall of some Kraft Foods Post LiveActive Mixed Berry Crunch Cereals.

The recall was initiated because the cereal may contain tree nuts, which are not listed on the label and may cause health problems in those who are allergic to the nuts.

The 12,553 cases of Post LiveActive Mixed Berry Crunch Cereal were in 13-oz retail cartons with the "Best When Used By" date of 17DEC2008 and UPC code of 00430000238900. The cereal was shipped nationwide.

Georgia Department of Agriculture sanitarians will be checking stores during inspections to make sure the cartons are removed from sale.

Kraft advises tree nut allergic consumers not to consume the product and asks them to call 1-866-771-1511 for a full refund.
