S. Hall man burned when gas grill explodes

FLOWERY BRANCH - A South Hall man suffered burns to one arm when a gas grill exploded at his home Sunday afternoon.

It happened about 2:00 on Ivy Springs Drive.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle says Tupper had had the propane tank for the grill filled and had reconnected it and was attempt to light the grill when a small explosion and fire occurred.

Cagle says the cause of the incident remains under investigation; Tupper suffered first- and second-degree burns to his left arm and was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Thus far, no word on his condition.
