Sex offender on the loose

CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities are on the lookout for a convicted sex offender who walked away from a work detail earlier this week.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Capt. Frank Huggins said 46-year-old David Bremen Walker escaped from the Gwinnett work detail Tuesday where he was being held on unrelated charges.

"I would strongly recommend that no one confront him," Huggins said. "If you see someone that matches the pictures that I sent out, then they should immediately call 911."

He said Walker is 5'8", about 180 pounds, has brown hair, brown eyes and is balding on the top of his head.

Huggins said authorities believe Walker may be headed for his home in the north Forsyth area.
