Georgia Bureau of Investigation supervisor John Whitaker said 32-year-old Eric Paul Krumm is charged with four counts of felony computer trespass. Whitaker said Krumm had been illegally accessing the computers of his former co-workers at Veit-Americas, a Winder company that sells equipment for the garment industry.
Krumm was released from the Clarke County Jail Thursday on $10,000 bond. UGA spokesman Tom Jackson said Krumm was fired Monday.
Whitaker said the probe into the former UGA computer programmer began with an allegation that Krumm was involved in child pornography. That investigation is ongoing.
