North Georgia to remember 9/11

At least three events are planned in our area on Thursday to mark the seventh anniversary of 9/11.

One will be held in Dawson County - the county's annual 9/11 "service of remembrance." It will take place at 8:30 at the county Law Enforcement Center.

In addition, Forsyth County will hold its seventh annual Liberty Garden Ceremony at 11:15 a.m. at Liberty Garden in Cumming. At 11:30 a.m., Coal Mountain Elementary School hosts an appreciation luncheon for members of the Forsyth County fire and sheriff's departments.
