The Lady War Eagles were sparked by the play of Melissa Bailey, who grabbed two steals and helped stop West Hall's Jayla Moon. Chestatee held Moon to just three first half points.
Chestatee led just 5-4 after the first quarter before exploding in the second. The Lady War Eagles led 38-13 after the third quarter.
"We put Melissa in to spark the defense and she did a great job. The rest of the team followed her and we played a really good second quarter," Chestatee coach Web Daniel said. "The defense led to a lot of easy points for us and that was the key to the game."
Chestatee (7-6) has now won four straight and will travel to Jasper Friday to take on No. 8 Pickens in a key subregion showdown.
"Pickens is a solid team and we will have to play like we did in the second quarter the entire game," Daniel said. "I like how we're playing right now and I think we have a good chance of getting a win."
Chestatee had tremendous balance on offense with all but two players scoring. Brooke Peck led the Lady War Eagles with eight points. Jessica Porter added seven and Shelby Bright, Chelsea Wilson, and Peyton Robertson each had six points for Chestatee.
Moon led West Hall with nine points. Bailey Soucie and Latesha Millsap each had three for the Lady Spartans (5-7).
