GAINESVILLE - Members of a Gainesville church Tuesday night celebrated the Presidential inauguration with a chili supper and a canned food drive.

At St. Paul United Methodist Church on Summit Street the only charge for homemade chili with all the trimmings was a can of food for the food bank, according to Pastor Marcus Dixon.
It was an inaugural celebration with a purpose, to help feed the hungry.

"When people come and enjoy the chili, they can leave a canned good," Dixon said.

The Pastor said he was inspired by President Obama's inaugural call to rebuild America by helping others.

"He's inspired us to do something and put ourselves to work and do something to help the community," Dixon added.â
