The Gainesville Police Department issued an arrest warrant late Thursday afternoon for Kevin Norman, 41, of Athens. Lt. Brian Kelly said Norman and his alleged victim, a 19-year-old female, were both patients at the facility at the time of the incident.
Kelly said, "Norman was taken into custody yesterday (Thursday) evening and is currently in Athens-Clarke County awaiting transport to Hall County."
Another rape involving a 31-year-old female victim was reported to have occurred on January 9 at Laurelwood, but police said they have been unable to substantiate that attack.
