The accident happened around 6:15 a.m. Friday when a vehicle driven by Melissa Griggs, 23, of Braselton attempted to make a left turn off Highway 53. Griggs' vehicle struck Scott's motorcycle, which was traveling east on the highway.
Highway 53 was closed for almost four hours after the accident occurred.
State troopers said they are not sure if charges will be filed against Griggs. An investigation continues into the accident.
