Child shot in head in Dawson County dies from injuries

DAWSONVILLE - The child that was shot in the head Friday in what appears to be a hunting accident died from his injuries, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

According to reports from Fox 5, the 11-year-old boy was hunting with his grandfather in the Dawson Wildlife Forest Management area when he was struck. Authorities said they do not know at this point which weapon discharged.

The names of those involved have not been released.
