The Tigers (3-3, 2-0 in region) trailed 17-14 at halftime but quarterback Cody Streetman and running back Deon Brock finally got untracked in the second half.
Streetman scored four touchdowns while amassing 140 yards rushing and Brock added 132 yards and one touchdown on the ground for the Tigers.
Meanwhile, the Commerce defense stiffened in the second holding the Eagles (4-3, 1-2) to just 53 yards on the ground after halftime. Athens Christian piled up over 200 yards on the ground while building its first half lead.
The win for Commerce sets up a showdown and battle for first place in the region next week with Class A No. 1-ranked and defending state champion Wesleyan (7-0, 3-0). The Wolves have been tough allowing just 15 total points on the season with four shutouts and five games without allowing a touchdown.
